Kevin Kieff, Director for the Thousand Islands Region office of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, has provided a collection of photos illustrating the work down this work season restoring Rock Island. These photos show the severe dilapidation of the interior of the house and also give a glimpse of the excellent results of renovations to the interior thus far.

ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin for the photos of the inside work done. That was an area that visitors to the island could not view. I hope that some of the original lath will be left exposed for visitors to see the construction from the early days.
